What this can and can't tell you
An applicant tracking system stores CVs and lets recruiters search them. Before it can do either, it has to turn your file into text. If that step goes wrong, your skills can vanish and your dates can scramble, and you never find out why you didn't hear back.
This tool shows that text, read in the simple way many parsers read it, and names what got in the way. It doesn't give you a match percentage. Nobody outside an employer can see how their system is set up, so a score like that would be a guess.
Why there's no upload
Your CV holds your address, your phone number and your work history. It's read here, in your browser, by code you can inspect. Nothing is sent to us or to anyone else, and no AI is involved.
Is a one-column CV always best?
For getting through a parser, yes. Two columns, text boxes and letter-spaced headings are the usual causes of scrambled text. If a person will read your CV directly, a designed version is fine; keep a plain one for online applications.
